Helping our community has no materialistic benefits and we recognize that it is not this materialistic benefit we are striving for. Rather it is to help our people and have them know that Hermanos Unidos de UCSB exists and is a resource to the community.

For all of us this is our home for the next four years and maybe more for others. So the Community Service Pillar strives to preserve, and give back to the community we all live in. From cooking for the families of Isla Vista, to cleaning up the beaches of IV, we are out there making a difference.

This year as in the past we know that with all your help and enthusiasm, we will do great things for the community. One of the requirements to become an active member in Hermanos Unidos is to complete 10 community service hours. So whenever you here about a community service event, get excited and see it as an opportunity to give back.
