Jaime Ugalde- Co-Chairman
Hometown: Ontario, CA
Pronouns: He/Him/His
I’ve been in HU since my first year. I felt out of place when I first came into this campus, everything was so new to me. HU gave me my first group of friends, with all the people I connected with I was able to learn, grow and gain values that I continue to uphold. I want to embody what I learned, the experiences I had, and be able to give it back to our members. I want them to continue learning and growing and to be informed about resources they can use to make sure they succeed in higher education. They’re already here, I want them to stay here and prosper. Lastly, I want to make our members time here at UCSB fun and unforgettable.

Daniela Vega- Scribe
Hometown: San Jose, CA
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
I am very honored to be a part of HU steering 2020/2021. Since joining this org I have partaken in amazing volunteering opportunities and have met great people along the way. I have grown not only as a student at UCSB but as a person. This year I would like to give back to my org and take on the responsibilities of being a scribe. Even through a pandemic, as a steering member I will dedicate to being there for my fellow Hermano.

Kevin Graff- Internal Social Chair
Hometown: Tulare, CA
Pronouns: He/Him/His
Hey everybody! My name is Kevin Graff. I’m this year's Internal Social chair. I’m a fourth year sociology major with a minor in education. After graduation, I would like to take some time to slow down and find the path that will lead to me helping as many people as I can see their full potential! While I hold the position of internal social chair, I hope to help members new and old develop and maintain the long-lasting friends and networks that I have myself been able to make in the 2 going on 3 years that I’ve been a part of HU. I decided to run for this position because I saw the benefits that internal bonds within the org can produce right away when I first joined, and I hope to be able to provide the same to current and future members! Whether it’d be through creative and enjoyable internal events, or platicas focused on our adversities and navigation of life at UCSB and elsewhere, I hope to provide a space that is welcoming, and a space where members can learn more about each other and even themselves along the way. I look forward to doing the best job I can possibly do, as if it weren’t for HU, I wouldn’t have experienced so much of the amazing memories that I’ve had while in college. Fuerza!

Erik Santamaria- CLOP Coordinator
Hometown: La Puente, CA
Pronouns: He/Him/El
Hello, my name is Erik Santamaria. I am a 4th year transfer student majoring in Sociology and double minoring in Educational Studies and Applied Psychology. As Hermanos Unidos 2020-21 CLOP Coordinator, my goal is to provide students with the necessary resources and knowledge needed to achieve and succeed in higher education despite the circumstances. As an aspiring educator myself, the mission and impact of CLOP resonated with my passion and desire to help students in the field of education. Being a part of CLOP has provided me with the opportunity to not only get to build a Hermandad with my hermanos but also help the next generation of students succeed. It is because of my time in HU and CLOP that I want to pass on this experience to other hermanos and students alike. As CLOP Coordinator I want to inspire our members to help those in need by recognizing themselves as the role models we, as an organization, see in them.

Carlos Pimienta- Treasurer

Hermanos Unidos has given me a home in a place where I felt like I didn’t belong, so as treasurer I will work hard to host fundraisers that will benefit our member and help the organization reach its full potential without having to worry about financial barriers. This will also allow our members to get the most out of every event and enhance our three pillars.
